My name is Marilyn Sandler and I am a speech-language pathologist. Stockton has been my “other” home for 24 years! I received my Masters degree in communication disorders from William Paterson College in New Jersey. I love being a speech-language pathologist. It is SO rewarding when you hear students say their first word, their first complete sentence or finally master that particular sound that was difficult to say.
In 2006, I received a grant to travel to Israel to learn about a concept called Snoezelen. Snoezelen is a multi-sensory environment designed to promote communication, increase attention, and encourage self-discovery and social interaction for students with special needs. Snoezelen became my passion and I am proud that Stockton now has a state-of-the-art Snoezelen room.
