Welcome to Room 306! In Room 306 you will find a group of hard-working 6th graders exploring ancient China, crash-landing an airplane with Gary Paulsen, or computing the area of various 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional shapes. The students in Room 306 love to read and learn about the ancient cultures of the world. They also love to use Stockton’s technology to create multi-media representations of their learning! (Hopefully we can post some samples on our classroom page!)
About Ms. Mapes: I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Marketing Communications degree. I spent 7 years promoting motor sports events all over the United States, until I realized that I should have listened to my 5 year old self and become a teacher! I received my Master of Arts in Teaching from National-Louis University and have been at Stockton School since the Spring of 2011. I love the Chicago Cubs, finding a new book to dive into, completing DIY projects at home, and learning how to wakeboard!
