I am Stockton’s new school counselor-in-training and will be with the school for the entire 2012-2013 year. I will be working with Mrs. Shoemaker to assist, consult, and lead activities with students, parents, and staff. I moved to Chicago over two years ago to earn my Master’s degree in School and Community Counseling at DePaul University and have immensely enjoyed my experiences.
I have had the pleasure of assisting students in an array of capacities including academic, personal/social, and college/career. Individual, small, and group counseling lessons extending from grief, loss, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, high school applications, testing etc. have and continue to be a part of my curriculum. My experiences working with youth has guided my decision to become a school counselor, and I look forward to continuing to empower and advocate for our Stockton students this year.
